[origin: US4957451A] A male electrical contact comprises a substantially U-shape body incorporating two side members and a center member. There is a bar at one end and the other end is adapted for connecting the body to an electrical conductor. The contact is manufactured by bending a blank formed from a material that is a good electrical conductor. The material comprises two strips of different thickness. The bar and the adjoining part of the body are formed from the thicker of these strips.

Organe de contact électrique mâle comprenant un corps à section sensiblement en U avec deux ailes (10,11) et une âme (9) et dont une extrémité est prolongée par un barreau (5), tandis que l'autre extrémité comporte des moyens (7) pour son raccordement à un conducteur électrique, ledit organe étant réalisé par découpage et pliage à partir d'un flan métallique bon conducteur de l'électricité présentant deux bandes (2,3) ayant des épaisseurs différentes, caractérisé en ce que le barreau (5) et la partie du corps en U, adjacente au barreau (5) sont découpés dans la bande (2) présentant la plus grande épaisseur.
