[origin: JPH02232419A] PURPOSE: To facilitate exchange of an excavation drum by providing a rotary plate at an end of a driving device, and providing a holding means so that rotary drive of the excavation drum by the plate are engaged with each other. CONSTITUTION: A conical trapezoid surface 12 is formed in the periphery of a plate 4, and a recessed conical trapezoid surface 13 having a shape 13 corresponding to an excavation drum 8 is formed. The recessed conical trapezoid surface 13 and the projecting conical trapezoid surface 12 are made to contact with each other so as to engage the excavation drum 8 with the periphery of a driving device. Torque is applied between the plate 4 and the excavation drum 8, and polygonal surfaces 9, 10 are engaged with each other, and the excavation drum 8 and the plate 4 are fixed to each other by bolts 11. Fixation and removal of the excavation drum 8 is thereby facilitated.
