Abstract (en)
The device is proposed for drying inks on paper, especially for drying printed sheets in an offset printing machine. For this purpose, a radiation source is required which produces essentially UV radiation. This radiation source is preferably a UV excimer radiator and is arranged directly on the surface of the paper. The shape of the radiation source is adapted to the course of the transport path of the paper. Additionally, the UV radiation is controlled in dependence on the presence of ink to be dried.

Es wird eine Einrichtung zum Trocknen von Farben auf Papier, insbesondere zum Trocknen von bedruckten Bogen in einer Offsetdruckmaschine (1), vorgeschlagen. Hierzu ist eine Strahlungsquelle (14,15,16) erforderlich, welche im wesentlichen UV-Strahlung erzeugt. Diese Strahlungsquelle (14,15,16) ist bevorzugt ein UV-Excimerstrahler und wird unmittelbar an der Papieroberfläche angeordnet. Die Form der Strahlungsquelle (14,15,16) ist dem Verlauf des Transportweges des Papiers angepaßt. Außerdem wird die UV-Strahlung in Abhängigkeit von dem Vorhandensein von zu trocknender Farbe gesteuert.
