Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0379053A2] The invention relates to a method for operating a whirlpool tub or the like, for keeping the pipe system (R) of a whirlpool tub (W) or the like clean, having at least one outlet nozzle (D), possessing a valve, for the introduction of water and/or air to the interior space (I) of the tub by means of a cleaning fluid which has a germ-reducing action, the valve of the one or more outlet nozzles (D) being in a liquid-tight closed position relative to the interior (I) of the tub when the pipe system (R) is subjected to the action of the cleaning fluid. In order always to ensure that the tub is hygienically satisfactory, provision is made for the filling of the pipe system (R) with its cleaning fluid to be maintained for the duration of the non- use of the tub (W), and for the cleaning fluid not to be drawn off until the tub (W) is reused. <IMAGE>
