The carrier web is preferably end-consolidated with a melamine-formaldehyde precondensate which is partly etherified and/or sulfamate-modified.

Beschrieben wird eine Trägerbahn aus flächenförmigem Fasermaterial bestehend aus einer Glasfasermatte und einer Matte aus Synthesefasern, die miteinander vernadelt und die mit einem polymerisatfreien, formaldehydarmen Melamin-Formaldehyd-Vorkondensat endverfestigt sind und ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung. Vorzugsweise ist die Trägerbahn mit einem Melamin-Formaldehyd-Vorkondensat endverfestigt, das teilverethert und/oder sulfamatmodifiziert ist.
