Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9007999A1] The spacer comprises a body (20) made from a single, hollow metallic part having a U-shaped cross section. The concave part of the cross section is directed towards the rear and the front side (20a) of the hollow body corresponding to the base of the U constitutes the moulding wall of the spacer (16). An inner curved metallic sleeve provides a free space of small width having a U-shaped cross section in which a flow of water cools the mould wall (20a) over its entire length. The spacer (33) also comprises lateral parts in contact with the lateral walls of the hollow walls of the hollow body.
