[origin: JPH02230921A] PURPOSE: To provide an economical lightweight gas casing adapted to mass production by connecting flanges rigidly and mutually to form a force-absorbing part of the casing and welding an end part of a passage provided with the flange in a cross section part. CONSTITUTION: Flanges 4 to 6 are mutually and rigidly connected to form a force-absorbing part of a casing. Passages 12, 16 are formed as molded thin plate members. Cross sections of end parts of the passages 12, 16 are connected in such a manner that at least one opening 14 of the flanges 6, 4 is communicated with at least one opening 11, 15 of another flanges 4, 5. This opening is an inlet cross section part or an outlet cross section part for medium, and end parts of the passages 12, 16 provided with the flanges 4 to 6 are welded in this cross section part. In this way, this casing is adapted to mass production and is made economical.
