[origin: JPH02229220A] PURPOSE: To sufficiently separate even fine dustlike dirt from a textile material by installing walls permeable to air and the dust between a horizontally placed opening roller and the ceiling of an opener and connecting the ceiling to a suction pipe. CONSTITUTION: This dust cleaning machine for textile fibers is obtained by horizontally installing an opening roller having a beater 3 in the interior of a casing 2, arranging grid bars 4 and 5 with a slight distance from the undersurface of the roller 1, forming walls 6, 7 and 8 of a material permeable to air and dust above the opening roller 1, boring openings in the walls 6, 7 and 8, connecting the openings to an inflow port 9 and an outflow port 10 for an air stream for conveying fibers, protrusively installing a guide plate 11 obliquely to the shaft of the roller 1 on the undersurfaces of the walls 6, 7 and 8, boring an opening in the ceiling 2a of the casing 2 and connecting a suction pipe 15 thereto.
