The invention relates to a device for manufacturing a sealing diaphragm using an annular cutting blade, the annular cutting blade being made up of a plurality of segments and having, on its inner circumference, a wall which is inclined relative to the vertical and interacts with a counterwall which is inclined relative to the vertical and forms part of a fixed die. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung einer Verschlußmembrane (6) unter Verwendung eines Schneidringmessers (1), wobei das Schneidringmesser aus mehreren Segmenten (a,b,c,d) zusammengesetzt ist und auf seinem Innenumfang eine gegenüber der Vertikalen geneigte Wand aufweist, die mit einer gegenüber der Vertikalen geneigten Gegenwand (11) eines ortsfesten Stempels (9) zusammenwirkt, wobei bei der Bewegung eines Faltenhalters (2) zwecks Schließen der Membranform die Schneidringmessersegmente nach unten und damit nach außen bewegbar sind.
