So that containers of all types, in particular large containers, can be manipulated, loaded and transported in a simple manner, two coupling claws (14) are arranged on a cross member (13) of a lifting slide. The cross member (13) carrying the coupling claws (14) is guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner in vertical guides (11) of the lifting slide and can be moved by a pressure-medium piston/cylinder unit.
