[origin: WO8901866A1] A printing plate (2) which is inherently insufficiently rigid to be locked up on a printing cylinder (4) by the conventional means is provided with stiffeners (14; 114) at both the leading and trailing edges. One stiffened edge portion may be located in a slot (11) in a reel bar (12), while the other engages between the reel bar (12) and an internal surface (or in a second reel bar). Locking-up of the plate (2) may be enhanced by frictional engagement between one stiffened (and, generally, thickened) edge region with the opposite edge region, possibly where this too is stiffened and thickened.

Une plaque d'impression (2), par essence insuffisamment rigide pour être fixée sur un cylindre d'impression (4) par le moyen classique, est dotée de raidisseurs (14, 114) aux bords à la fin avant et arrière. On peut placer une partie de bord renforcé dans une fente (11), dans une barre de bobinage (12), tandis que l'autre s'engage entre la barre de bobinage (12) et une surface interne (ou dans une seconde barre de bobinage). On peut renforcer la fixation de la plaque (2) par contact frictionnel entre une région à bord renforcé (et sensiblement épaissi) et la région du bord opposé, possiblement où celui-ci est également renforcé et épaissi.
