[origin: WO9000304A1] An electronic apparatus, such as a customer serviceable data processing terminal, including a keyboard module (30) releasably mounted on a housing (20) in a position whereby removal of the keyboard module (30) from the housing (20) provides access to the interior of the housing (20) for servicing electronic components therein. Cooperating electrical connector means (42, 44) are provided on the keyboard module (30) and the housing (20) to provide electrical coupling between the keyboard module (30) and the electronic components within the housing (20). The electrical connector means (42, 44) forms part of an electrical circuit (46) for interrupting the power supply to the electronic components whenever the keyboard module (30) is removed from the housing (20).

Un appareil électronique tel qu'un terminal de traitement de données pouvant être entretenu par le client, comprend un module à clavier (30) monté amovible sur un logement (20) dans une position où, en retirant le module à clavier (30) dudit logement (20), on peut accèder à l'intérieur du logement (20) pour procéder à l'entretien des composants électroniques s'y trouvant. Des moyens (42, 44) de connexion électrique coopératifs sont prévus sur le module à clavier (30) et le logement (20) afin de permettre le couplage électrique entre ledit module à clavier (30) et les composants électroniques situés à l'intérieur du logement (20). Les moyens (42, 44) de connexion électrique font partie d'un circuit électrique (46) permettant d'interrompre l'alimentation des composants électriques lorsque l'on retire le module à clavier (30) du logement (20).
