In a winding apparatus for a yarn (1), especially for a yarn (1) which is almost inelastic, with a basic body (2), onto which the yarn (1) is to be wound, if appropriate a yarn guide unit (4) preceding the basic body (2), and a rotary drive (5) for the basic body (2), and with an unrolling device (6) for the yarn (1), the unrolling device (6) having a supply bobbin (7) for the yarn (1), an unrolling drive (8) for the yarn (1), a yarn-tension stabiliser (9) designed especially as a dancing-arm device, and an electrical or electronic control (10), even when there are pronounced yarn-tension changes originating from the basic body a substantially constant yarn tension can be obtained easily on the basic body, if the yarn (1) is guided close in front of the basic body (2) or in front of the preceding yarn guide unit (4) by means of a speed recorder (13), if the speed measurement signal of the speed recorder (13) is fed to the control (10), and if the unrolling speed of the unrolling drive (8) is controlled by the control (10) as a function of the speed measurement signal.

Bei einer Wickelvorrichtung für einen Faden (1), insbesondere für einen Faden (1) mit angenäherter Nulldehnung, mit einem Grundkörper (2), auf den der Faden (1) aufgewickelt werden soll, ggf. einem dem Grundkörper (2) vorgeordneten Fadenleitwerk (4) und einem Drehantrieb (5) für den Grundkörper (2) und mit einer Abrollvorrichtung (6) für den Faden (1), bei der die Abrollvorrichtung (6) eine Vorratsspule (7) für den Faden (1), einen Abrollantrieb (8) für den Faden (1), einen, insbesondere als Tänzerarmeinrichtung ausgeführten Fadenspannungskonstanter (9) und eine elektrische oder elektronische Steuerung (10) aufweist, kann auch bei starken, vom Grundkörper ausgehenden Fadenspannungsänderungen problemlos eine weitgehend konstante Fadenspannung am Grundkörper realisiert werden, indem der Faden (1) nahe vor dem Grundkörper (2) bzw. vor dem vorgeordneten Fadenleitwerk (4) durch einen Geschwindigkeitsaufnehmer (13) geführt ist, indem das GeschwindigkeitsMeßsignal des Geschwindigkeitsaufnehmers (13) der Steuerung (10) zugeleitet wird und indem die Abrollgeschwindigkeit des Abrollantriebs (8) durch die Steuerung (10) nach Maßgabe des Geschwindigkeits-Meßsignals gesteuert wird.
