[origin: JPH02238186A] PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of a diaphragm pump in which diaphragm working chambers including a pump working chamber are connected respectively to stroke working chambers whose volumes are changed through reciprocation of a plurality of pistons, by providing the pistons and the pump working chamber in the center part and in parts on both sides of the center part. CONSTITUTION: This diaphragm pump is composed of a plurality of pistons 1 which are reciprocated, and which are fitted in cylinders 2 formed in a cylinder block 3, and the volumes of stroke working chambers 4 are changed through the reciprocation of the pistons. These stroke working chambers 4 are connected to diaphragm chambers 6 through conduits 5. Each of the working chambers 6 is partitioned by a diaphragm into a cylinder side chamber 6' and a pump working chamber 6" which is connected to a suction conduit 10 through an inlet valve device 8, and to a discharge conduit through an outlet valve 9. The diaphragm working chambers 6 are arranged on an extension line of the center cylinder 2, and laterally of the cylinder on both sides thereof.
