[origin: EP0381224A1] The holder apparatus is used for suspending skis and has two clamping jaws (2, 3) which are located opposite one another in mirror image in relation to a vertical plane (4) and are held such that they can be rotated about horizontal axles in dependence on each other. The axles are formed by bolts (11, 12) which are attached to a bearing plate (8). The clamping jaws have bearing sleeves (9, 10) which grip around the bolts (11, 12) and freely projecting arms, directed towards one another, are arranged at the bearing plate-side ends of the bearing sleeves (9, 10). Either the end of the one arm has an elongate hole and the end of the other arm has a bolt which engages in the elongate hole of the one arm or mutually meshing toothings are provided at the ends of the arms. The mutually facing surfaces (17, 18) of the clamping jaws (2, 3) extend in a convex arc shape, the distance of the imaginary generatrix, which forms the arc and is parallel to the axles, from the axis of rotation increasing constantly from the lowest portion (19) of the arc to the highest portion (20) of the arc. <IMAGE>
