[origin: EP0381830A2] The proposed device for cleaning the blanket cylinder of an offset printing machine consists of a housing 5, which can be swivelled onto the blanket cylinder 1, and a drivable cleaning cylinder 20 which is mounted in said housing. A multiplicity of spraying nozzles 32, located adjacently in the axial direction, apply their jets of spray both to the bottom 30 of the housing 5 and to the cleaning cylinder 20 behind its contact line with the blanket cylinder 1. Arranged behind this spraying application zone of the cleaning cylinder is a doctor blade 40, whose movement onto the cleaning cylinder 20 is derived from the swivel movement of the housing 5 onto the blanket cylinder. <IMAGE>
