Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0381859A1] The machine has a horizontal opening roller (2) equipped with beater pins (1). Arranged below the underside of the opening roller (2) is at least one group of grid bars (9, 10) which are approximately parallel to the opening roller (2). Textile fibres in flock form are fed in a stream of conveying air through an inlet (4) located at one end of the opening roller (2). At the other end of the opening roller (2) is arranged an outlet (5) for the stream of conveying air. The distance between the grid bars (9, 10) and the opening roller (2) is adjustable. The machine can thus be adapted as closely as possible to the type of textile fibre material to be cleaned. Preferably, furthermore, the grid bars (9, 10) are each pivotable about an axis parallel to their longitudinal axis, so that the angle of incidence of the grid bars (9, 10) relative to the stream of conveying air can also be adapted to the type of textile fibre material. <IMAGE>
