[origin: EP0381932A2] In a device for arresting folded products transported by means of a belt guide (4), with a stop (5) through which the belt guide (4) preferably passes and an adjustable braking means (9) arranged in front of said stop, it is possible to achieve a high user-friendliness and operational reliability if the stop (5) can be scanned by means of a sensor (24) which detects the forces, or a parameter dependent thereon, which act on said stop upon impact of the folded products, and if the braking means can be adjusted as a function of the value which is present at the output of the sensor (24). <IMAGE>
