[origin: EP0381976A2] In order to improve a heating element, and a method for producing a heating element, particularly for toasters, said heating element having a carrier body, a heating coil held by the carrier body and terminal elements, which in each case connect power supply wires at the ends to the heating coil, such that a good electrical contact is ensured between the power supply wires and the heating coil and such that the heating element can be produced as simply as possible, it is proposed that the terminal elements be welded to at least one winding of the heating coil, located at the end. <IMAGE>
