[origin: EP0381994A1] In order to impart to alloys having a high gold content of more than 95% the properties required for their use for ornamental purposes and in order to adapt them to the particular processing or the desired purpose, the invention proposes an alloy consisting of 95 to 99.5 per cent by weight of gold as the basic metal, with the addition of the metals iron, germanium, gallium, indium, cobalt, copper, rhenium, tantalum, vanadium, tin and zirconium.
