[origin: EP0382590A1] This dispenser (1) comprises a body (2) in two separable sections (2a, 2b). The front section (2a) receives a reservoir (4) containing the product (3) to be dispensed between an outlet orifice (5) and a piston (6), which is controlled by a rod (7) which is movable in translation step by step by a mechanism (8) housed in the rear section (2b). The rod (7) comprises rear ratchets (29a) and forward ratchets (29b) normally engaged with the teeth (22), and, between the ratchets, elastic regions (28) which apply a return force on a push-button (9) closing the section (2b). A pivoting by 90 DEG of the push-button (9) drives the cage in rotation and brings it into a position in which the ratchets bear on the flats (21) which disengages the mechanism. In the engaged position, each push on the push-button results in an advance of the rod (7) equal to one rack tooth. <IMAGE>
