Abstract (en)
This device comprises, on a substrate (38), an electroluminescent layer (34) and a photoconductive layer (32) which are stacked up, this stack being interposed between two electrode systems (30, 36) serving to excite the electroluminescent layer, this electroluminescent layer having an emission spectrum encompassing the sensitivity spectrum of the photoconductive material, and an optical filter (40) arranged between the electroluminescent layer and the observer of the device and letting through that portion of the emission spectrum of the electroluminescent layer most useful to the display and blocking a region of the emission spectrum of the ambient lighting, the sensitivity spectrum of the photoconductive layer then essentially being contained in this region. <IMAGE>

Ce dispositif comprend sur un substrat (38) une couche électroluminescente (34) et une couche photoconductrice (32) empilées,cet empilement étant intercalé entre deux systèmes d'électrodes (30, 36) servant à exciter la couche électroluminescente, cette couche électroluminescente ayant un spectre d'émission recouvrant le spectre de sensibilité du matériau photoconducteur, et un filtre optique (40) disposé entre la couche électroluminescente et l'observateur du dispositif et laissant passer la partie du spectre d'émission de la couche électroluminescente la plus utile à l'affichage et bloquant une région du spectre d'émission de l'éclairage ambiant, le spectre de sensibilité de la couche photoconductrice étant alors essentiellement contenu dans cette région.
