[origin: WO8911596A1] A radial ventilator comprises a spiral casing (1) with a tongue (2) and an inlet opening and an outlet opening (4). A rotor (5) is mounted in the spiral casing (1). The rotor (5) comprises a shaft (6) and a carrying disk (7). On the peryphery of the lateral surface of the disk (7) are fixed blades (9) forming an intra-rotor cavity. A partition is mounted in a cantilever manner on the spiral casing (1). The free end (14) of the partition is located in the intra-rotor cavity with an offset ($g(a)1?) in relation to the tongue (2) in the direction opposite to that of rotation of the rotor (5). The gap ($g(d)1?) between the tongue (2) and the projecting edge (11) of the closest blade (9) lies within the range of 0.03 to 0.2 of the distance (R1?) between the axis (O1?-O1?) of rotation of the rotor (5) and the projecting edge (11) of the blade (9).
