[origin: EP0383006A1] The device for increasing the buoyancy of a surf board (1) has an inflatable delta-shaped mat (2) in order to simplify assembly and to alternatively use the surf board as a sailing boat for several persons or as a hydrofoil. The mat (2) can essentially cover the surf board (1) and its width is greater than that of the surf board. The surf board can be inserted into a pocket (3) formed on the underside of the mat.
