[origin: EP0383039A1] The invention concerns a folding fastener for a bracelet whose opening is controlled by push buttons. The fastener comprises a base (1) formed from two longitudinal members (4, 4'), two push buttons (5, 5'), each push button being integral with a longitudinal member, and two arms (10) articulated about the ends of the base (1), each arm, whose free end is connected to one end of a bracelet, comprising two branches (11, 11') disposed on either side of the base. In the closed position, the arms (10) are folded down on the base (1) and join each other at its centre. The fastener is held in this position by means of locking devices (15, 15') comprising a pin (16) and groove (17), the pin and the groove being disposed on the opposite lateral faces of a longitudinal member (4, 4') and of a branch (11, 11') respectively in such a way that one can penetrate by force into the other. The fastener is opened by applying a force (F, F') to each push button (5, 5') in order to bring the centres of the longitudinal members (4, 4') closer together and to release the pins (16) from the corresponding grooves (17). The fastener according to the invention being a safety fastener, it is intended to be fitted in particular to watch bracelets. <IMAGE>
