The invention relates to a device on containers (1) containing radioactive waste for reducing the internal pressure caused by hydrogen generated in the waste and the release of hydrogen from the container (1). The device comprises a catalyst (7) which is inserted in a perforation (2) in the wall of the container (1) or its lid (3) and which is installed with a predetermined throughput from the interior of the container to the outside for the oxidation of hydrogen with oxygen to form water at the storage temperature. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung an Behältern (1) mit radioaktiven Abfällen zur Reduktion des Innendruckes durch in den Abfällen entstehenden Wasserstoff und zur Reduktion der Wasserstoffreisetzung aus dem Behälter (1). Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem Katalysator (7), der in eine Durchlaßöffnung (2) in der Wandung des Behälters (1) oder seines Deckels (3) eingesetzt ist und der zur Oxidation von Wasserstoff mit Sauerstoff zu Wasser bei Lagertemperatur mit einem vorbestimmten Durchsatz vom Behälterinnenraum nach außen eingebaut ist.
