[origin: EP0384044A1] The motor vehicle transporting stacks of loose bricks or stone blocks has a chassis (1) mounted on two front wheels (2) and on at least one rear wheel (3). A container (15) is mounted at the front of the vehicle so that it can be swung about a horizontal axis. The container has two arms (20), which project forwards, are laterally movable and have their rear ends attached to transverse slides. Jaws attached to the front ends of the arms grip the opposite ends of a line of bricks etc. placed on the ground in front of the machine. The frame is then swung upwards for the brick transport vehicle.
