It is to be possible to quickly dismantle the novel tower crane into assembly and transport units suitable for road transport even when it is of a larger type of construction and also in restricted space conditions. For this purpose, the assembly and transport unit of the tower crane consists of the supporting structure for the winches, on which the rear side of the frame of the travelling crab is flange-mounted, and of the head station, which is connected to a supporting piece provided at the front side of the frame. <IMAGE>
