Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0384141A1] So that a door (1) to be closed automatically by means of a door closer (4) can be fixed in a predetermined opening position, it is equipped with a stop device. Preferably, such a stop device is used in conjunction with a top door closer which is fastened to the door leaf and which has a sliding arm (6). This engages with its free end or with a sliding roller (7) attached thereto into a guide rail (5). During the opening of the door, the sliding roller (7) is displaced along the guide rail. Located in its range of movement is a pivoting member (10) which, during the opening of the door, is pressed down by the sliding roller (7) or the like counter to the resistance of at least one load spring (11). When the door is subsequently released, the sliding roller (7) runs up against a second slide-on slope (17) which acts in the manner of an abutment and which prevents the further closing movement. Either by manual force or, if, in addition to the force of the load spring, there is also a force of an electromagnet acting in the same direction, the blocking effect of the pivoting member (10) can be overcome when the magnetic force cancelled, and the door closer (4) can now close the door held in the open position. Because of the displaceable and lockable attachment to the guide rail (5), the stop angle for the open door can be selected as desired. <IMAGE>
