Abstract (en)
A device for applying reinforcement patches provided with glue to a web provided with transverse perforations comprises a means for tearing off the sections connected to one another by the transverse- perforation lines. Provided above the deflection roller (4) on the inlet side of a band conveyor consisting of mutually spaced continuous conveyor belts is a supply roller (6) which presses the incoming web (3) against the deflection rollers (4). A roller (7) supporting the conveyor belts (5) of the upper side is mounted with a spacing behind the deflection rollers (4) on the inlet side, this spacing being smaller than the spacing between the transverse-perforation lines of the web. The supporting roller (7) forms the counter-pressure roller for a rotating segment (8) with cylindrical circumferential surface which transports and holds a reinforcement patch (14). The radius and the speed of the circumferential surface of the segment (8) are so matched to the section lengths of the web (3) that this surface rolls between in each case two conveyor belts over part of each section while the web (3) is pressed against the counter-pressure roller (7). In this arrangement, the circumferential speed of the segment (8) and of the counter-pressure roller (7) is greater than the conveying speed of the band conveyor, so that the section (16) is torn off from the web during gluing of the patch (14) to a section.

Eine Vorrichtung zum Aufbringen von mit einem Leimauftrag versehenen Verstärkungszetteln auf eine mit Querperforationen versehene Bahn weist eine Einrichtung zum Abreißen der durch die Querperforationslinien miteinander verbundenen Abschnitte auf. Oberhalb der einlaufseitigen Umlenkrolle (4) eines aus im Abstand voneinander angeordneten endlosen Förderriemen bestehenden Förderbandes ist eine die einlaufende Bahn (3) gegen die Umlenkrollen (4) andrückende Förderwalze (6) vorgesehen. Eine die Förderriemen (5) des Obertrums stützende Walze (7) ist in einem Abstand hinter den einlaufseitigen Umlenkrollen (4) gelagert, der kleiner ist als der Abstand der Querperforationslinien der Bahn voneinander. Die stützende Walze (7) bildet die Gegendruckwalze für ein Verstärkungszettel (14) halterndes und transportierendes rotierendes Segment (8) mit zylindrischer Umfangsfläche. Der Radius und die Geschwindigkeit der Umfangsfläche des Segments (8) sind derart auf die Abschnittslängen der Bahn (3) abgestimmt, daß diese unter Andruck der Bahn (3) gegen die Gegendruckwalze (7) zwischen jeweils zwei Förderriemen auf einem Teil eines jeden Abschnitts abrollt. Dabei ist die Umfangsgeschwindigkeit des Segments (8) und der Gegendruckwalze (7) größer als die Fördergeschwindigkeit des Förderbandes, so daß unter Aufkleben des Zettels (14) auf einen Abschnitt (16) dieser von der Bahn abgerissen wird
