Abstract (en)
A board-shaped building element, in particular a multi-glazing unit, has an edge protection which radially outwardly encloses the edges of the building element. This protection is formed by a foamed plastic surround (20) in which holding pegs (31) have been integrated and also foamed. The holding pegs (31) are provided for engaging in counterparts (32) during mounting. The foamed surround (20) is preferably formed from a rigid, crosslinked polyurethane reinforced with glass fibre or carbon black.

Ein plattenförmiges Bauelement, insbesondere Mehrfachglasscheibe, besitzt einen die Kanten des Bauelements radial nach außen umgebenden Kantenschutz. Dieser wird von einer Umschäumung (20) aus Kunststoff gebildet, in welche Haltedübel (31) integriert und mit eingeschäumt sind. Die Haltedübel (31) sind zum Eingreifen in Gegenstücke (32) bei der Montage vorgesehen. Die Umschäumung (20) wird bevorzugt von einem harten, vernetzten Polyurethan gebildet, das mit Galsfaser oder Ruß armiert ist.
