Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0384462A2] A board-shaped building element, in particular a multi-glazing unit, has an edge protection which radially outwardly encloses the edges of the building element. This protection is formed by a foamed plastic surround (20) in which holding pegs (31) have been integrated and also foamed. The holding pegs (31) are provided for engaging in counterparts (32) during mounting. The foamed surround (20) is preferably formed from a rigid, crosslinked polyurethane reinforced with glass fibre or carbon black.
