[origin: WO9010111A1] The invention concerns an process for coating finish films and endless edges in which an acid-hardening, aqueous coating composition based on an amino plastic resin/hydroxyl group-containing compound/self-crosslinking acrylate dispersion is applied and stoved. The coating composition used contains 5 to 20 wt. % of one or more fillers with a mean particle size of 0.015 to 10 mu m, a maximum particle size less than or equal to 40 mu m and a density less than or equal to 2.9 g/cm<3>. The invention also concerns the coating compositions used in the process and finish films and endless edges produced by the process, whose principle advantage is a negligible formaldehyde emission, particularly in conjunction with a low-formaldehyde chip board.
