[origin: EP0384551A1] Carding machine for producing randomly or longitudinally oriented fibre fleeces of fibre material, with at least one draw-in roller or the like, if appropriate a licker-in running in the same direction as this, and at least three working drums of identical diameter which follow the licker-in and, rotate in the same direction as one another and preferably in the opposite direction to the liquor-in and of which any two are in mutual engagement and the relative speed and/or mutual spacing are adjustable for controlling the fraction of fibre material restorable on the respective working drum, on the one hand, and of the fibre material transferable onto the respective following working drum, on the other hand, characterised in that the working drums (14 - 28) are arranged on the circumference of at least one central roller (30, 31) running in the same direction as these and are in adjustable engagement with this. <IMAGE>
