[origin: EP0385047A1] In a matrix print head, an electromagnet coil support (7) forms a magnet yoke ring for, for example, an 18 or 24 printing element system in which in each case the magnet yoke bodies (9) are attached to yoke feet (16) in polygonal recesses of the annular electromagnet coil support (7) and are aligned radially to the centre of the electromagnet coil support (7). <??>In order to achieve in printing element systems with numbers above 14, e.g. with 18 or 24 printing element systems, the smallest possible diameter of the matrix print head with reliable attachment of the magnet yoke bodies (9) on the baseplate, it is proposed that a larger support surface (18a) adjoins the yoke foot (16) which is smaller in cross-section (16a) in comparison with the cross-section (17) of the magnet yoke body (9) radially on the inside than radially on the outside and that the yoke foot (16) is bonded into the polygonal recesses (19) of the electromagnet coil support (7). <IMAGE>
