Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a barrier wall as is used along motorways or railway lines. It is formed from several sound-absorbing elements (4) disposed obliquely inside retention sections (1) and provided with a solid panel (5) forming the rear covering of the barrier wall. For the purpose of improving above all the acoustic absorption and insulation effectiveness, the invention is characterised in that the sound-absorbing elements (4) made from fibres bonded together are self-supporting in that at least two faces of these elements are clad with a water-impermeable and elastic rubbery layer, and in that the absorbing surface is greater than the plane surface of the barrier wall. <IMAGE>

Dans une paroi d'absorption et d'isolation phonique, employée notamment le long des autoroutes ou des voies de chemin de fer, et constituée de plusieurs éléments absorbant les sons (4) parallèles disposés chacun incliné par rapport au plan de la paroi et coincés entre des profilés de retenue (1) un panneau (5) plein formant le revêtement arrière de la paroi, ces éléments absorbant les sons (4), en fibres minérales comprimées et encollées a la résine synthétique, sont autoportants et au moins deux faces de ces éléments exposées aux intempéries sont revêtues d'une couche caoutchouteuse imperméable à l'eau et élastique, la surface absorbante de la paroi étant plus grande que sa surface plane par suite de la dispsosition des éléments (4).
