[origin: EP0385137A2] The invention relates to a boiler equipped with a downstream burner, with waste gas temperature regulation, which consists of a water-bearing housing (1) with a combustion chamber (2) which is surrounded by an annular heating gas flue (5) which leads to the smoke gas take-off and is divided into individual flues (4) by a large number of longitudinal ribs (3). In the region on the take-off side, there is arranged a sealing flap (6) which is adjustable depending upon the waste gas temperature and covers one or more individual flues (4). According to the invention, such a boiler equipped with a downstream burner is designed in such a manner that there is arranged in front of the sealing flap (6) in the heating gas flue (5) a longitudinal rib-free smoke gas duct (7) with a width which corresponds at least to the width of three individual flues (4). The width and cross-sectional shape of the sealing flap (6) corresponds at the same time to the cross-section of the smoke gas duct (7). The flap (6) is provided with a bimetallic regulator (8). The smoke gas duct (7) is arranged below the mouth (12) of the waste gas connection piece (9) and the bimetallic regulator (8) of lever-like design is fastened with its flap-free end (13) in the waste gas connection piece (9). <IMAGE>
