[origin: EP0385374A1] The brightener compositions contain an anionic optic brightener which preferably contains at least one sulpho radical in an amount of 10-60% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, an anionic polysaccharide and water and, if desired, auxiliaries; these compositions are used for the preparation of detergents.
