[origin: EP0318184A1] Methods and compositions are described that accelerate bone formation using granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factors (GM-CSFs). The methods include treatments for osteoporosis and bone fractures. The compositions include GM-CSFs in combination with bone-formation stimulators and/or bone-resorption inhibitors.
