[origin: WO8904634A1] A cardiac output measurement device (20) for real-time, non-invasive measurement of cardiac output. The system utilizes a pulsed Doppler ultrasound transducer probe (31), an interactive visual display (24), a volume control knob (25), a finger operated keypad (22), a paper advance button (27) located on the forwardly printer drawer panel (26) enabling the operator to advance the paper (28). The probe wire (29) includes an activation switch (30). The device automatically searches the ascending aorta at various depths to find the depth at which the greatest blood velocity reading is detected. The device calculates cardiac velocity, cardiac index, stroke distance, heart rate, and stroke volume.

L'invention concerne un dispositif (20) de mesure de la sortie cardiaque pour effectuer des mesures non-invasives, en temps réel du signal de sortie cardiaque. Le système utilise une sonde (31) d'un transducteur ultrasonique Doppler à impulsion, un affichage visuel interactif (24), un bouton de commande de volume (25), un clavier manuel (22), un bouton (27) d'avance du papier, lequel bouton est situé sur un panneau (26) de dessin d'une imprimante permettant à l'opérateur de faire avancer le papier (28). Le fil (29) de la sonde comprend un commutateur d'activation (30). Le dispositif recherche automatiquement l'aorte montante à diverses profondeurs pour trouver la profondeur à l'aquelle on détecte la lecture de la vitesse du sang la plus élevée. Le dispositif calcule la vitesse cardiaque, l'indice cardiaque, la distance systolique, la fréquence cardiaque et le volume systolique.
