Lock-cylinder keys can be provided with a key profile consisting of a plurality of profile parts (1, 2, 6) adjoining one another in a row and having individually distinguishable contours of capital letters. So that the profile variation of such keys can be recognised more easily, the profile parts (1, 2) having a contour (4, 5) of a capital letter or digit of at least double its written line width (s) are arranged above one another without any intermediate transition, whilst the profile part (1) forming the key spine has the contour of a letter (4) or digit (5) of a thickness at its outer end of a plurality of written line widths (s) and the profile part (2) forming the key breast has a contour of a letter (4) or digit (5) terminating at its outer end in a single written line width (s). <IMAGE>

Schließzylinderschlüssel können mit einem aus mehreren aneinander gereihten, einzeln für sich unterscheidbare Großbuchstaben-Umrisse aufweisenden Profilteilen (1,2,6) bestehenden Schlüsselprofil versehen sein. Um solche Schlüssel hinsichtlich ihrer Profilverschiedenheit leichter erkennen zu können, sind die einen Großbuchstaben- oder Ziffern-Umriß (4,5) von mindestens ihrer zweifachen Schreiblinienbreite (s) aufweisenden Profilteile (1,2) übereinander zwischenübergangslos angeordnet, wobei das den Schlüsselrücken bildende Profilteil (1) den Umriß eines an seinem äußeren Ende mehrere Schreiblinienbreiten (s) starken Buchstabens (4) oder Ziffer (5) und das die Schlüsselbrust bildende Profilteil (2) den Umriß eines an seinem äußeren Ende in eine einfache Schreiblinienbreite (s) auslaufenden Buchstabens (4) oder Ziffer (5) besitzt.
