[origin: EP0386558A2] An inset cup for centrifuges for centrifuging blood is described, a blood bag, which is connected via connecting hoses to at least one other blood bag inside the centrifuge, being inserted into the inset in conjunction with a displacement element which acts on the inset cup from the outside. In order to handle the inset cup more easily and operationally reliably with low manufacturing costs, it is provided that the inset cup consists of two shell halves connected swivellably to one another and that a holder for the blood bag to be inserted between the shell halves is arranged on the top of the shell halves.
