[origin: EP0386621A1] The wrist-watch comprises a middle part (18) and a bottom plate (20) made in a single piece in order to form a middle plate (10). The middle plate is entirely covered with a protection layer (60) of substantially constant small thickness. In order to protect the parts (26) of the middle part which are exposed to external stresses (shocks, etc.), the middle plate is carried by two side members (1) fixed on either side of the middle part. These side members are produced so that they have greater resistance to the said external stresses than the middle plate.
