To make it possible for the web (3) to be drawn rapidly and accurately back and forth in the longitudinal direction over a support (2) relative to a tool (4) while maintaining a small space requirement, the feeding drive consists of deflection guides (6) provided on both run-off sides of the support (2), forming web loops (3a, 3b) between a clamping means (5) for the web (3) and the support (2), for the purpose of a reciprocal change in the loop length, being displaceable on the two support sides by means of an actuator (7). <IMAGE>

Um unter Einhaltung eines geringen Platzbedarfes die Warenbahn (3) rasch und genau gegenüber einem Werkzeug (4) in Längsrichtung über eine Auflage (2) hin- und herziehen zu können, besteht der Vorschubantrieb aus auf beiden Ablaufseiten der Auflage (2) vorgesehenen, zwischen einer Klemmeinrichtung (5) für die Warenbahn (3) und der Auflage (2) Warenbahnschlaufen (3a, 3b) bildenden Umlenkführungen (6), die im Sinne einer gegengleichen Schlaufenlängenänderung auf den beiden Auflageseiten mittels eines Stelltriebes (7) verlagerbar sind.
