[origin: EP0388664A2] The invention relates to a cleaning device for a blanket cylinder of an offset printing machine. The device has a rotatably driven brush roller having bristles for interaction with the blanket cylinder. Washing liquid is fed to the bristles for self-cleaning. Arranged in one region of rotation of the bristles is a deflection element which is stationary relative to the brush roller, extends over the length of the latter, and past which the bristles scrape, returning subsequently to their position. In order to increase the cleaning effect with a simple construction of the cleaning device and low consumption of washing liquid, the deflection element in this arrangement is constructed as a distributor pipe with outlet openings for the washing liquid directed radially relative to the brush axis. <IMAGE>
