Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for making tobacco shreds from relatively dry tobacco consisting of leaf material or ribs, which is pressed to form bales which are dielectrically warmed (e.g. by microwaves or electrical high-frequency fields). <??>The invention resides in the fact that the relatively dry tobacco in the warmed bales or parts thereof is subjected to a loosening step before cooling, and the loosened tobacco is conveyed to a tobacco shredder and shredded. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Anlage zum Herstellen von Schnittabak aus relativ trockenem Tabak aus Blattgut oder Rippen, der zu Ballen gepreßt ist, die dielektrisch (z.B. durch Mikrowellen oder elektrische Hochfrequenzfelder) erwärmt werden. Die Erfindung besteht darin, daß der relativ trockene Tabak in den erwärmten Ballen oder Teilen davon vor dem Abkühlen einem Löseschritt unterzogen und der gelöste Tabak einem Tabakschneider zugefördert und geschnitten wird.
