Device and method for packaging and pressing fibre flocks from short-cut fibres or fibres with high sliding properties in bale form by means of a filling shaft (2), in which a distributor device (6) ensures that the fibre flocks are transferred uniformly to a clearing device (7) already having the width (4) of the press-container orifice (5), the clearing device (7), in interaction with a longitudinal smoothing device (9), moving the flocks further in such a way that a uniform feed of the press container (11) is obtained. Fibre flocks introduced in this way can then be prepressed, finish-pressed, packaged to form bales and sheathed in a way known per se. <IMAGE>

Vorrichtung und Verfahren zum Verpacken und Pressen von Faserflocke aus Kurzschnittfasern oder Fasern mit hohen Gleiteigenschaften in Ballenform durch einen Füllschacht (2), in dem eine Verteilungsvorrichtung (6) dafür sorgt, daß die Faserflocke gleichmäßig an eine Räumvorrichtung (7) übergeben wird, die bereits die Breite (4) der Preßbehälteröffnung (5) aufweist, die Räumvorrichtung (7) die Flocke in Zusammenarbeit mit einer Längsvergleichmäßigungsvorrichtung (9) in der Weise weiterbewegt, daß eine gleichmäßige Beschickung des Preßbehälters (11) erhalten wird. Eine so eingefüllte Faserflocke kann dann in ansich bekannter Weise vorgepresst, endverpresst, zu Ballen verpackt und armiert werden.
