The invention relates to a device for the low-noise buffering and transverse transport of rollable, elongated rolling stock along a transport path and to a transport chain which is arranged at least below the path surface and has a plurality of swivellable stop elements, arranged at intervals, which are provided with a contact roller arranged at the end and can be erected and, having being erected, project partially above the path surface and can be pressed below the path surface when they strike a number of accumulated stock articles. The invention proposes a device which makes possible transverse transport, in a manner guided precisely in parallel, of rollable rolling stock of differing size and with a different surface finish in a simple and economical manner, in combination with low-noise buffering of the rolling stock without damaging the surface. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung für lärmarmes Puffern und Quertransport von rollfähigem, langgestrecktem Walzgut längs einer Transportbahn und mindestens unterhalb der Bahnfläche angeordneten Transportkette, die mehrere schwenkbare in Abständen angeordnete Anschlagselemente aufweist, die mit einer am Ende angeordneten Kontaktrolle versehen aufrecht stellbar sind und dabei teilweise über derr Bahnfläche hervorstehen und beim Anschlag an eine Anzahl gestauten Gutes unter die Bahnfläche drückbar sind. Mit der Erfindung wird eine Vorrichtung vorgeschlagen, die einen genau parallel geführten Quertransport von rollfähigem Walzgut unterschiedlicher Größe und mit unterschiedlichem Oberflächenzustand in einfacher und kostengünstiger Weise bei lärmarmem und oberflächenschonendem Puffern des Walzgutes ermöglicht.
