Abstract (en)
A magnetic recording medium (1) is prepared using a spin glass magnetic body of a thin film of a ferrite composition as a recording layer (3). The value of the magnetization of this layer (3) varies according to the magnitude of the magnetic field applied when it is cooled from a temperature above the spin freezing temperature of the spin glass magnetic body of it, and information can therefore be recorded or erased by using this property.
