[origin: EP0389357A1] The invention relates to an improved attachment means for a refill for a paint roller, and a paint roller including this refill. The refill comprises: a cylindrical sleeve (2) having two opposite ends and carrying on an outer surface a coat (3) with which to apply the paint; two end plates (4, 5) which bear respectively on the two ends of the sleeve (2), and, inside the sleeve, securing means for holding the end plates (4, 5) firmly against the sleeve (2), and immobilising means for axially immobilising the refill with respect to a rod (30) belonging to a paint roller support, once this rod is inserted into the sleeve (2). According to the invention, the securing means and the immobilising means comprise at least one split tube (20, 31, 32) comprising a slit (21) running along its full length. The tube is designed so as to close tightly about said rod (30) and so as to be snap-fastened to at least one end plate (4, 5). <IMAGE>
